Description"Princess Grand" style 91 in mahohany case w/duet music compartment knob and cover. #47731. Iver and Pond Piano Co. Boston -- triple treble engraved inside piano. It has turned legs and ebony and ivory keys.Original documents: Bill of Sale, Letter from E.R. Redwill, Contract agreement, & Receipts of payments marked paid.
ProvenanceFeb. 8, 1911 is purchase date (original invoice) for piano with bench for $900 from Ridewill Music Co., 244 West Washington St., Phoenix, Az by Mrs. L.E. Pafford (nee Alice Mouer) donor's mother. It was paid for with a trade in piano and $10. per month. It was willed to Patricia M. Elms (Mrs. James Elms) by her grandmother "Mattie" Moeur. It then remained in the Encino house as long as her parents lived there.

Used by Mattie Moeur, mother of Dr. Pafford to give music lessons in Tempe in the early 1900's. Mrs. T.V. Pyle remembers taking lessons at $.50 each.
