DescriptionThe image is a self-portrait - aka. a “selfie” - from around 1919.
Photo of Estelle Hackett and four friends standing for an outdoor photo. Ms. Hackett wears a white, full-length dress with a wide collar. The other three of the ladies wear men’s clothes - each also wears a cravat - a short, wide man's tie. One of the ladies wears denim overalls. The lady at far left wears a military uniform (similar to uniform of the man in the photo).

The lady kneeling in the photo is pulling the string that snapped the photo. She may also be wearing a military shirt and trousers, but not as easy to tell as her friend at the left of the photo.
