Descriptiondark brown, carved, upright. 3 pedals. Stenciled on fall-board is Epworth Piano, Williams & Sons, Chicago. Inside piano on soundboard Williams & Sons 10008. Hinged rollback fall-board. Applied work (floral design) on front top of piano. Recessed rectangular panel on bottom front. 52 ivory keys, 36 black.This was the first piano at Tempe High School. It was a Christmas present from the school's first principal, Benjamin Scudder Scales.
