Descriptiondark brown, carved, upright. 3 pedals. Stenciled on fall-board is Epworth Piano, Williams & Sons, Chicago. Inside piano on soundboard Williams & Sons 10008. Hinged rollback fall-board. Applied work (floral design) on front top of piano. Recessed rectangular panel on bottom front. 52 ivory keys, 36 black.

This was the first piano at Tempe High School. It was a Christmas present from the school's first principal, Benjamin Scudder Scales.
