DescriptionThe two pieces of burned, corroded iron are part of a belted person lift. The larger piece is a metal open box with round pieces on four corners to hook it to the belt. Workers stepped into it like a step. The other piece is a handle to hold on to.

the pieces were removed from the mill during the City of Tempe's Planning for redevelopment of the site, 2006.
ProvenanceCity of Tempe Development Services transfer, Chris Messer. These pieces were removed from the mill during the City of Tempe's planning for redevelopment of the site, 2006. They were used by workers at Hayden Flour Mill. They have been through a fire.
