DescriptionThis black knit "Katsina" dress came from Goldwater's Dept. Store in Phoenix in 1965. It was a gift to donor by her father-in-law when she was living on Baseline east of 48th Street in a citrus orchard owned by The Henry's. Sold exclusively at Goldwater's. Custom-made for wearer. It is plain black, straight dress with full length sleeves. The bottom has a 10" high design of 2 zig zag lines over and under a line of stylized katsinas mainly blue with white feet, gold heads. Sleeves have lines near cuffs-2 blue and one red. Maker: Goldwater's Dept. Store. Origin: Phoenix, Arizona.
