DescriptionThe plaque off of the Tempe Bridge says "State of Arizona Tempe Bridge Commenced A.D. 1910, completed A.D. 1913 under the authority of the Territorial Board of Central 1910-1912. Richard E. Sloan, governor. Geo. A. Mauk, Auditor, Robert A. Craig, Secretary...Lamar Cobb, State Engineer...with prison labor." The bridge was also known as the Ash Avenue Bridge.
