DescriptionThis bag was made to hold laying mash from Hayden Flour Mill and Southwest Flour and Feed Company. The bag is printed with chase washout inks. The lettering is black and red ink indicating Red Star brand and a red star and a sketch of a basket of eggs. Betty, donor, father-in-law, a mill wright, worked in mills. These bags were defective. He brought them to Betty Wilks to reuse as dishtowels. The company had varying locations including Tempe. Donor's father in law was named Archie Wilks. Origin: Tempe, AZ.
