DescriptionJoel Avery Benedict's navy blue US Navy uniform:A. The jacket is double-breasted three-button closure with four pockets without flaps. Above the left top pocket is a sewn-in navy eagle in grey and a line of three medal ribbons. The large brass buttons have navy eagle and anchor. The sleeves have three gold bands and star on bottom edges. The back has flaired seams and no vent. There is a zippered inner pocket.
B. The pants are straight-leg cuffless with standard five pockets. Back pockets have tab and plastic button closure. Fly is metal zipper and plastic button. There are belt loops and suspender buttons.
