DescriptionThe photo shows Kemper Goodwin (right) with his son Michael (left) in their architectural office. It is black and white.
ProvenanceKemper Goodwin, born 1906 in Tempe, set up practice in Tempe in 1945 and worked in architecture for 30 years specializing in educational facilities including the Memorial Union, Wilson Hall, and the Mathematics building at ASU. His son Michael joined him in 1967. Kemper retired in 1975 and died in 1997. He designed Tempe Congregational Church and in 1967 Kemper and Michael designed Escalante Park. The firm designed the new upside-down pyramid city hall.
