DescriptionSun Devil Stadium was expanded in 1977. This picture shows construction at the north endzone. The picture was in the March 1, 1977 Tempe Daily News.Built in 1958, the stadium's original capacity was just 30,000. The first addition in 1976 substantially raised the capacity to 57,722.
