Mayor Bill LoPiano had a host of people on hand to cheer him on as he signed proclamation making May "Older Americans Month" in Tempe, as it is throughout the USA. Pleased with the salute to the city's over-60-year-olds are (from left standing) Mrs. Theresa Riel, of the Tri-City RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program); Mrs. Lois Henderson, Tri-City RSVP Advisory Council member; and a pair of RSVP volunteers chosen recently at Mesa Community College Senior Opportunity Fair as "Outstanding Senior Couple, Helen and Bill Apgar.
