DescriptionFrom an article caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, Monday, November 7, 1977:

Moving In -

Gililland Junior High School Principal Cecil Shamley and Librarian Eleanor Woodman (center) supervise as library technicians Jane Dick (left) and Mary Leaf (right) move materials into newly-completed library at that school. The new library, with 7,000 square feet of space, has nearly tripled the library space Gililland had before. The expansion added two seminal rooms, an AV storage room, librarians' work area, periodical reading area and new book shelving. Norman Fenlanson, Tempe, was architect and Halliday Construction Co., Tempe, was contractor for the project begun at the end of last school year. Facility should be open for student' use sometime this week.
