Cable Coming To Tempe -

Heralding the coming of cable television for Tempe residents, American Cable Television President Bruce Merrill (center), of Paradise Valley, and Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano (right) formally accepted new R.F. Systems, Inc., satellite communications earth station for Tempe, Monday, from Milt Deever (left), vice president of COMTECH Laboratories. R.F. Systems is a subsidiary of COMTECH and a leading supplier of earth station antenna and cable television equipment. Merrill said the new station will be providing programs for portions of five television channels to be delivered to Tempe residents via a cable communications system to be constructed in Tempe next year by American Cable Television.
