DescriptionNew Eastside Veterinary Center is going up rapidly at Priest Road and First Street, where the new county facility is expected to be ready for business early in 1968 (that was the date given in newspaper caption, but it presumably should've been 1978). The rabies control center is being built by E. L. Farmer Construction Company -- and it's already being expanded! Maricopa County Supervisors voted Monday to approve inclusion of a third run for the kennel, which had been planned for two, since the low bid for the job had been considerably under the $700,000 in federal money allocated for the project.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-E.
