DescriptionBeing able to tell the former and being a devoted wearer of the latter is about all it takes to be a member in good standing of the Bolo Tie Society. And members of Tempe's Bolo Tie Society were doing plenty of the tall-tale-telling when they gathered, bola ties around their necks, for a luncheon meeting in the Diablo Room of Monti's La Casa Vieja on Thursday. Special guest of honor and speaker was Kool-TV newsman Bill Close (left), one of the founders of Arizona's Bolo Tie Society and president of the Phoenix chapter. Faybert Martin (right), president of the Tempe Bola Tie Society, brought along a picture of the original Bolo Tie Society membership to show off. Yesterday's meeting was just the second for the Tempe chapter.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-F.
