DescriptionOutstanding beautification efforts in the building and remodeling of business and industrial developments in the city were rewarded at annual City of Tempe and Tempe Chamber of Commerce beautification awards luncheon Monday at Fiesta Inn. Admiring plaques received for their efforts are (seated left to right) Craig Walling, architect for Submarine Factory; Martin Young, architect for Chapman Chevrolet; Jim Lakin, architect for Sarti Office buildings; Paul Smith, partner in Jensen Tools and Alloys; (standing left to right) Norm Fenlason, architect with Cloyce Clark building; Bob Hawkins, owner; John Douglas, architect for Western Tree and Gary Cropper, general manager of Chapman Chevrolet.
