DescriptionChecking out the schedule of events for the annual Arizona Special Olympics before they joined in formal ceremonies opening the two-day event for the state's handicapped youngsters and adults at ASU's Selleh Track Field yesterday are (from left) Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano; Dr. Obadiah Harris, Tempe, member of the Arizona Special Olympics Board of Directors; District 29 Sate Rep. Jim Cooper, Mesa, also a member of the Olympics board; and Dr. Herb Fibel, Tempe, chairman of the Special Olympics board of directors. Approximately 2,000 of the state's top young handicapped athletes are in Tempe for the Special Olympics winding up today on the ASU campus.
