DescriptionDr. Sandford M. Ornstein studies images provided by Tempe Community Hospital's new ultrasonic scanner in search of information to help diagnosis of a patient's ailment. The images can identify cystic areas, solid tumors and many kinds of soft-tissue lesions and can be used to detect diseases in liver, spleen, pancreas and kidney's. It won't, however, image bones which still must be done by x-ray.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-C.
