DescriptionFrom a photo caption, "Young at heart", appearing on Page A8, 'Applause', Tempe Daily News, Saturday, June 28, 1986:Young at heart - Artist Chabela showed an audience at Friendship Village in Tempe her 'Para-Sailor' painting which she said includes a self-portrait in the upper left corner. As a former Valley housewife who didn't begin her art career until after a visit to Mexico at the age of 58, Chabela was at Friendship Village recently to keynote a seminar on 'The New Older Woman.'
