DescriptionThis picture shows Dick Neuheisal (left) chatting with a lady in oriental dress, perhaps clothing from Zhenjiang, China, a Tempe Sister City. The man on the right is not identified.

The Hackett House hosted a very special culinary and cultural event sponsored by all four Tempe Rotary Clubs and Zonta International of Tempe. Martin Yan, celebrated Chinese chef from San Francisco, gave cooking classes on the 27th and 28th of January to serious as well as amateur students of Chinese cuisine. The two-day cultural event included Chinese entertainment and a "Dim Sum" cocktail party.

Bob Peshall, Tempe's Chinese Sister City (Zhenjiang) Coordinator, and Mary Lou Burum, co-chairman, along with Barbara Colleary, known in the Valley for her culinary expertise and haute cuisine, handled the exciting events.
