DescriptionTempe High School Royalty Crown. Initially used for Homecoming, it was later used for a variety of "Royal" events, used from 1960's to mid 1980's. The crown is made of a thin silver metal that has been shaped into a circular base. From there, four different strips of metal curve upwards to meet at the top where a "T" is formed. Within the metal case is a dark blue velvet cloth that forms the remainder of the crown. The blue velvet was to signify "kings", whereas white velvet signified "queens".
