DescriptionFrom donor file: Native American - Mojave. Seated clay figurine with hands clasped at waist, legs outstreched, toes turned up. Doll is clothed in skirt of blue and green print fabric fastened at waist with several turns of maroon yarn. Beaded collar with parallel rows of redwhite and blue beads ending in loops of red and white beads decorates the neck. Loops of white beads, each with one light blue pony bead for earrings. Face is elaborately painted with red slip, black white and red paint. nose etes chin and mouth modeled, holes for nostrils, ears. Black human hair applied with stitching thru holes in head, probably glue. Orange headband added on top. Hair and headband go down back to waist.Status
