DescriptionThis is another scanned slide of President Lyndon B. Johnson in an open-top car during a campaign parade. This parade was in Phoenix, not Tempe though. Lyndon B. Johnson was still in his first term as president following the assassination of previous president John F. Kennedy in November 1963. In this photo, Johnson is in the background center-right, where he looks to be waving and addressing the large enthusiastic crowd gathered. The crowd is so large it makes up the majority of the image.Status
