DescriptionThis is a program for a tour of the Papago Park Water Treatment Plant. This particular tour was held on Saturday, February 11, 1967 at 3:00pm. The program remarks that this plant was dedicated to the citizens of Tempe who in 1963, showing "sufficient courage, insight and determination" passed a $3,000,000 bond issue to provide a water treatment plant to insure high water quality for the city for years to follow. The program claims that the water facility can furnish 20 MG daily to Tempe's water system at an approximate cost of 1 cent per 46 gallons.
