BiographyWeather observer, National Weather Service,
1930-1984.
Came to Arizona in 1928, after earning a Master's degree in science at Mississippi A&M (now Mississippi State University). He was an assistant entomologist with the Arizona Commission for Agriculture and Horticulture, c1928-1932.
He was an official weather observer in Tempe for the National Weather Service from April 1, 1930 until Sept. 30, 1984, when he retired. He received three awards for his volunteer service, including the Weather Service's Thomas Jefferson Award in 1982
for 52 years of service.
Lived at 1104 S. Ash Avenue, 1937-1981. In 1931 had wife Olla.
