Worked at the Pacific Creamery, and in appliance sales and life insurance sales. When the Depression hit, he had no job, so went back to Arizona State Teachers College to get his degree while his wife, Ellen Stewart Hardin, taught school.
Graduated from ASTC in 1933.
The rest of his career included both teaching and farming. In 1928 lived at 937 Normal Ave.
Lived on McAllister Avenue.In 1930 lived at 27 E 7th.
