BiographyTruck driver. Worked for the Maricopa County Highway Department, and then the City of Tempe.
Attended the Eighth Street School, the Tenth Street School, and Tempe High School. At Tempe High, he was named Arizona's outstanding baseball pitcher in 1936. Attended Northern Arizona
Normal School (NAU). He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, with the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II, and was honorably discharged in 1945.
Coached Little League and American Legion Baseball, and was an umpire at Tempe Beach Park for 14 years. Played guitar in the Gamboa brothers band. President of the Nutrition Site Council.
Recipient of 1991 Americanism Award by American Legion Post #2.
