BiographyLived on a farm at 52nd Street and University Drive. Attended the Tenth Street School and Tempe High School. Graduated from Arizona State Teachers College in 1929. Taught first grade, and then High School Spanish, at Litchfield Park, for a total of 18 years. She got her Master's degree in Spanish in
1946. Taught Spanish at North Phoenix High School, 1947-1973. Also studied at University of Arizona and UCLA.
Was President of the Business and Professional Women's Club, the American Association of University Women, the Retired Teachers
Organization, and Delta Kappa Gamma.
