DescriptionLyophilizer machine used by ASU professor Dr. Herbert L. Stahnke to freeze-dry venom. Used between 1944 and 1972.Note - on May 9, 2016, the date of this item was changed. Previous date was circa 1915. Possible that all or part of this machine dates to circa 1915, but its use by Dr. Stahnke and his research team is 1944 to 1972. Previous title was also changed because it was more a description of the item (i.e. pipes, fixtures, etc.) and not the proper name for it.
