DescriptionGoodwin Novelty Store was opened in 1907 on the west side of Mill Ave. between Fifth and Sixth Streets. This store was owned by Garfield Abraham Goodwin, and became very well-known in Tempe for selling Native American objects. Godwin traveled to Indian Reservations and trading posts to buy jewelry, pottery and blankets to sell at his store. Larry Miller owned Goodwin Novelty Store from 1945-1965.Status
