DescriptionThis copper plaque that explains the bridge plaque for a museum says, "This copper bronze plaque donated to the Museum by George A. Mauk. It was placed on the first concrete vehicle bridge built across the Salt River at Tempe in 1910, which was abandoned upon the completion of present highway bridge. The plaque was given Mr. Mauk by the State Highway Commision on his written request."
