DescriptionThe B/W photograph shows a crowd in the bleachers for the Tempe Jaycees Western Day celebration. The crowd is seated in bleachers made from native river rock. In the background on the left is the abandoned Ash Avenue Bridge crossing the Salt River. To the right background the Mill Avenue Bridge can be seen. The bleachers were originally overlooked a baseball diamond which was part of Tempe Beach Park.
