DescriptionThis is a picture of "Straight Ocho" an antique automobile built by Carl Spain. The automobile engine was actually two four cylinder Ford motors, thus "Ocho." Carl Spain was a blacksmith who designed and built this automobile around 1920. "Welcome Tempe Old Settlers" banner visible behind the antique vehicle. This picture was in the Tempe Daily News on April 19, 1971.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-A.
