'Heroes' To HERO -

McClintock High School's HERO participants honored their own special "heroes" - the employers who have given them on-the-job training in Home Economics-Related Occupations in food service, fashions, child care, etc., this year - at an annual banquet this week at Reuben's Plankhouse in Tempe. Honored with "Special Boss Award" during event for his support of the cooperative education program was Steven Mitchell (standing left), manager of Monti's La Casa Vieja. McClintock HERO sponsor Molly Olson (seated) and HERO President Sherri Riggs (not pictured) also received special honors during evening. Getting to know each other better are (standing from right) Lorna Bryn of Fuller Elementary School, a HERO employer; and McClintock senior Susan Babcock, HERO treasurer; and Ann Williams, historian.
