It was a kind of David meeting Goliath situation in another of yesterday's freaky Friday the 13th and stormy weather mishaps. Volkswagen van at 509 West 16th street was quietly minding its own business, parked at the curb, when the "giant" intruded. Tree was felled during windstorm - but the VW appeared to have weathered its bout with Goliath well.
