The Tempe Jaycees recently bought a block of tickets from the Boy's Club of Tempe, planning their annual raffle at the free Family Night Donkey Baseball Game. The Jaycees raised the funds to buy the tickets by selling trash bags through phone solicitations in the city. Involved in the purchasing ceremony were, from left, Cecil Flengte, new president of the Jaycees; Angel Hernandez, Frank School fifth grader; Fred Ackel, president of the Tempe Boy's Club; Jerry Olson, Scales School third grader; and Dan Bennett, Boy's Club board member and project chairman.
