DescriptionBut kindling is about all splintered power poles blown down in Friday storm are good for now. Wind toppled 13 poles on Hayden road, between McKellips and Princess and replacing them was expected to be a three-day job for Salt River Project crew. Friday's storm, with winds up to 50 miles per hour, calmed down over the weekend and produced some steady, gentle rain Saturday night and a good share of the day Saturday.-Tempe Daily News, September 12, 1977.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-D.
