Everybody knows cities face financial problems these days, and City of Tempe's Finance Director has been urging fiscal restraint all year - but, really now, is it necessary to go this far?! Sign at the corner of Carson and Lakeshore would lead you to believe the city may be ready to sell its fire hydrants to raise funds - but it isn't really so. "For sale" sign gets a lot of double-takes from passerby, though, 'cause there's not a sign of a house in sight on the lot, just the lonely hydrant.
