DescriptionFrom a photograph caption appearing on the front page of the Tempe Daily News, March 15, 1978:Just Like Old Times - All the comforts of home have turned out to be not so comfortable for Tempean Dr. Ruskin Lyons and family. Since the Lyons and their four children moved into their lovely, brand new home, the city dwellers have found themselves up against an ages old "country" problem - how to get in and out of it through the much and muck! The Lyons have discovered the advantages of hip boots - and the frustrations of waking up to find the family "wheels" mired deep in much since they took possession of their new home in mid-January, just as the rains came - and came - and came! When your home is located at an address on Caroline road, and that road doesn't exist just yet, you do just like they used to when Tempe was mostly farm country - get in and out by cutting across the field. That is, you do, if you can get your car "untracked!"
