DescriptionDoug Hillman stands next to a Hillman Hornet helicopter from Falcon Field Airport, Mesa, Arizona. Tempe man Doug Hillman developed the Hillman Hornet as an affordable, personal helicopter that could be assembled from a kit. He and his son were killed by a drunk driver in Gilbert in 1983. THe accident put an end to the Hillman Helcopter company.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-A.
