DescriptionTempe police used a tool called "Jaws of Life" yesterday to help a motorist get out of a vehicle after it had been rear-ended. Police report that a pickup truck and convertible were waiting at a red light at Apache and Forest about 4 p.m. when a VW bus failed to stop and banged into the back of the pickup. No one was injured in the mishap.(Note: the above is the caption as it appeared in the Tempe Daily News. However, there appear to two factual errors in it. First, the workers using the rescue tool appear to be fire department personnel, not police officers. Second, referring to 2001.19.2887, which apparently shows the same accident, a person is lying on a gurney next to the bus and may have been injured. See also 2001.19.2886 and 2895-2898.)
