DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in the Friday, April 14, 1978 issue of Tempe Daily News:Mesa Tragedy - A Mesa Firefighter hoses down still-smoldering remains of an airplane which crashed into a residential section in Mesa yesterday, killing the pilot and injuring three residents in two homes gutted by fire which followed the crash. Dead was James Harrison of Nogales, pilot of the Piper Aztec twin-engine plane. In critical condition at Maricopa County General Hospital burn unit is Howard Goodman, of 933 South LeSueur, Mesa, whose wife is in the same hospital with less serious burns.
