DescriptionTaken from Tempe Daily News - June 9, 1978:A rash of accidents in Tempe, Thursday have sent several people to local hospitals and kept police and firemen busy...In photos by Jan Young...(bottom photo) another fireman hoses down van whick caught fire and exploded near 13th and Hardy. Occupants of the van escaped serious injuries. Tempe firemen reported several other vehicles were involved in fires Thursday evening.
