DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, August 11, 1978:'Meet The Greeters' - Maître d', Ray Ryman (left) and hostess Joyce M. Johnson are the first people you'll meet when you step inside the Valley’s newest disco and dining establishment. Located at 2240 north Scottsdale Road, in a building which once housed the Page Four, the new Manhattan West is a vision of sleek style and solid New York decor. The dance floor is stainless steel and a fogging machine makes the dancers seem like they are floating on a cloud.
