DescriptionNope, that's not a small pumpkin gentleman farmer Gordon Sorensen is showing off - it's a cantaloupe! Assistant sales manager for Dana Brothers Motor CO., Sorensen plucked the oversized melon from his family’s plot in a neighborhood garden on Dromedary drive. At 17 1/2 pounds, and 32 1/2 inches around - and with Halloween coming up - it could make a good substitute for a pumpkin. Anybody got a recipe for a spicy cantaloupe pie?!The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-D.
