DescriptionFrom a photo caption in the 'Applause' section, Page B2 of the Wednesday May 29th, 1985 edition of Tempe Daily News:Reliable - Jeannette Wilson, right, is an example of the 'nothing beats reliability' motto hanging on the wall. Here helping customer Sarah Brodie, Wilson is the volunteer who has kept the Thrift Shop on the Cook Christian Training School campus in Tempe running this year. The thrift shop was opened by Church Women United in Tempe and is managed by Wilson. Its profits go to support Tempe Home Service, an agency providing in-the-home housekeeping and personal services for the city's elderly. The shop will be closing for the summer, but will reopen in the fall.
