DescriptionFrom an article, "Couple expects to 'pine away' in retirement" on Page B4 of the 'People' section in the Thursday, July 18, 1985 issue of Tempe Daily News.With the photograph there was the following caption: It looks like Christmas year-round at the home of Ardra and LaVern Brown, whose hobby is using pinecones and other natural materials to make wreaths, wall hangings, candleholders, tree ornaments and even Christmas trees. Ardra holds the first pinecone wreath she ever made, back in 1973.
