DescriptionAn old section of Tempe St. Luke's Hospital and the graffiti of a smoke-belching monster bit the ashes Saturday as the Tempe Fire Department conducted a controlled burning to make way for a $10.7 million renovation of the hospital. The two-story, 30 year-old building on Hudson Lane at the north side of the hospital property housed medical personal and once served as office space for physicians. Tempe firemen carried out training sessions during the hot drill.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-F.
