DescriptionYellow(gold) print on black car "In Loving Remembrance of Mrs. G. Ridenour, died Sep.5,1887, aged 53 years, 1 month." There is a 4 line poem at top and a three stanza poem at the bottom. Written on the back is "Sarah Greene Ridenour
Married Granville Ridenour July 5, 1855 in Ohio
Born in Buffalo, New York August 6, 1834.
Died Sept. 5-1887 at the age 53 years, 1 month."
A white piece of paper is attached to the back which reads:
"Sarah Greene Ridenour, born Buffalo, New York August 6,1834
Married to Granville Ridenour July 5, 1855 in Ohio
Died Sept.5, 1887 at the age of 53 years and 1 month at home five miles from Seneca, Kansas.
I was six years old and I remember her funeral service. She was my grandmother and was very loving and good to me. RTW"
This object was part of the Ridenour Family photo album that has been split into individual objects incorporating object numbers 1987.1.1058 - 1987.1.1075, 1987.1.1077-1987.1.1089, 1987.1.1971, and 1987.1.2990. These objects are housed individualy since the album was disintegrating.
